After running the rift my monitor looses signal alot of the time. It ran fine on hdmi but now my rift is on the only hdmi port so have to run monitor on displayport with hdmi to DP adapter and its causing me alot of issues. If VR runs at 30 FPS for you, you will know very quickly since you will probably be puking. A 1080 can run the game at 90 FPS where it should be and you don't want to be running under that.
